 Page 18 shows me and my group that females have the highest percentage for watching films with 1,168 females watching films over the last three months, where as men watched 1,060 over the three months. out of these females the highest percentage for the age category of watching     these films were 45 - 54 year olds with 50%. The fact that there were more females watching films is perfect for our target audience as we are aiming our film at females.

After analysing the types of film on page 105 that the general public typically enjoy watching the graph shows us that our chosen genre romantic comedy is 7th highest on the information shown with 37%, this shows that our traget audience will be appealed to our romantic comedy genre film opening.

 Analysing the graph on page 106 our chosen genre romantic comedy typically appeals to more females than males with the overiding percentage of 61% under 35 and 47% over 35. This means ou primary target audience will be females uner the age of 35 and our secondary target audience will be for females over 35.

 
Overlooking the graph on page 116 the percentage rating for romantic comedy who pick this genre as their favourite is 14% (8th from the top). Although this may seem quite low, half of our genre which is comedy is the highest rated favourite for a genre with 31%. This gives a specific idea of what will appeal more to an audience.

Looking at the final graph on page 117 about the types of film the general public consider their favourites with a full breakdown of demogrpahics which is, age, gender, occupation and social class. Our chosen film opening genre Romantic Comedy is more favouritised by females who are under 35, who are parents and are in the A or B social class category.

Looking at some of the statistics on the numbers website there are some Romantic Comedy films mentioned as top rated etc. however there is also a lot of over riding comedy genre films.








Specifically in this second screenshot there are several Rom Com genre films mentioned as top rated, this gives more enthusiasm for our opening film as to what kind of thing our target audience will enjoy.
